Ozark Trail - Courtois Section
(Berryman to Steelville, Missouri)
The Courtois Section of the Ozark Trail employs the western part of the Berryman loop and 2 access points are very
nearby. The southern trailhead is at Hazel Creek (10 miles from the cabins and campground at ArdPark) and the
north entrance is via the Berryman Trail (6 miles). Part of the Ozark Trail transects the Huzzah Conservation Area
where bicycling is permitted on service roads and roads open to vehicles. Be aware of the trickiness at the gravel
road between "The Narrows" and the Berryman Trail. Heading west to east, be sure to make the first right past the
low water bridge or you're in for a long ride to nowhere!
