Fishing, fishing and more fishing! There are so many excellent spots to fish in and around Steelville that we had trouble listing them all! Whether you're a casual fisher or a serious angler, you'll be in fishing paradise during your stay at ArdPark! Wherever you choose to fish, remember that you'll need a valid license, trout permit if applicable and state regulations always apply. Fishing licenses and bait can be purchased at the local general stores and current fishing regulations are available on the Missouri Department of Conservation website. Special regulations may apply to certain areas or species. |
Guests at the Courtois Cabana have it easy when it comes to fishing and gigging! Just gather your gear and head to the gravel bar. We won't call the fishing there spectacular, but there are quite a few sunfish, some bass, and a stray black bass or two. Minnows are abundant and you are welcome to use the minnow trap provided to catch your bait for fishing elsewhere. Kids love to catch and release minnows too--it will occupy them for hours. A valid fishing license is also required to trap minnows, even for the kids if they're over the regulation age. |
