Freedom Fest - July 4, 2011

Crawford County Fair - July 15, 16 and 17, 2011

This event is held every year on the third weekend in July in Hood Park. Like all county fairs, the
Crawford County Fair offers a splendid variety of family entertainment in the country. Annual events
include amusement rides, truck and tractor pulls, livestock shows, demonstrations, 4-H projects, a flower
show, demolition derby, live entertainment by national artists and on Friday and Saturday night be sure
to catch the championship bull riding. There will also be the queen, prince and princess contests and a

Steelville Harvest Festival - September 6 to 11, 2011

A week long, popular annual celebration in Steelville. There are musical events at the Meramec
Music Theatre, a parade, great barbecue, craft and additional food booths on the courthouse lawn,
and the ever exciting rodeo at the Ozark Trailblazers Grounds is held Friday and Saturday nights.

Onondaga Cave State Park - Various Dates Throughout the Year

This state park is home to one of Missouri's greatest natural wonders--Onondaga Cave. In
addition to regularly scheduled cave tours, the park staff frequently sponsors a variety of
organized activities and events throughout the year. Rare opportunities have included
picture taking inside the cave, hummingbird banding, barbeques and a host of other
festivities. Another fun-filled event at Onondaga is their annual Halloween happenings!

Ozark Trail Blazers Arena - Various Dates Throughout the Year

Located at 17516 Highway 19 in Steelville, the Ozark Trail Blazers Arena is home to the Missouri Saddle Club and
is the rodeo venue for the annual Steelville Harvest Festival. The Arena also offers several events throughout the

Girls Gone Fishing - Second Saturday Every September
(St. James, Missouri)
The second Saturday each September is set aside just for gals to fish. Held at Maramec Spring Park, in cooperation
with the Missouri Department of Conservation, this event provides free fishing to ladies of all ages. A special area
of the Spring Branch is set aside, fishing classes are offered, fly fishing instructions are provided and cooking and
cleaning your fish is included. Fish from early morning to dusk. For more information, click here.
Kid's Fishing Day - First Saturday after Mother's Day Every May

Take the kids out for some free fishing at Maramec Spring Park. All children age 15 and under fish free, all day. In
addition to the fishing being free, vehicles entering the park that contain at least one child 15 or younger get in free.
Many prizes are given away throughout the day by the Maramec Spring Trout Fishermens Association.

Derby Day - Last Saturday of Every October

Wildwood Springs Concerts - Various Dates Throughout the Year

If you've never experienced a concert a Wildwood Springs Lodge, you owe it to yourself
to see one. View the band in an intimate setting with comfortable seating near the bar and
by the fireplace. Concerts are somewhat costly, in our opinion, but worth it. Save yourself
my money by staying in a cabin at ArdPark.
