Cave Hunting in Steelville Missouri

On July 31, 2009, guests Mark and Steven Howell and Philip Fucaloro, claimed the grand
prize. This was the Howells' third stay at ArdPark Cabins. Excited and determined to win the
contest, the guys took off for a great hike in the national forest and came back winners. For
their dedicated effort, the Howells received a gift certificate worth 2 nights for 6 guests at the
cabin of their choice, 6 ArdPark t-shirts, 2 Cabela's Mini Multi Tools and a $30 Bass Pro gift
card. Great job Steven, Mark and Philip!! The cave contest is not all Steven and Mark won. A
stray kitten appeared at the All American during the Howell's cabin visit. Much to Steven's
happiness and surprise, mom and dad later agreed to give the kitten a new home. Steven
named the little girl "Yo Yo" and she became part of their family on August 7, 2009.

On October 23, 2009, guests Judy Haase and Doug Baldus, accompanied by their 5 anxious dogs, embarked on an afternoon hike in the Mark Twain National Forest in search of the cave. This was Doug and Judy's first stay at
The Pines cabin but they are not strangers to ArdPark. They have twice enjoyed the privacy and riverfront beauty camping at the Courtois Cabana. Judy was very excited to go find the cave and she and Doug did just that. Doug said Judy made all the right decisions about which paths to take (but we're not supposed to let her know that)! How impressed we were to receive news that their mission was successful on their first try! In addition to having a wonderful time, Doug and Judy claimed a $50 ArdPark gift certificate, a $10 Bass Pro gift card and a Cabela's Mini Multi Tool.
